one of me and my partner’s, like, Long Term projects is the building of a space for gay and trans kids (esp trauma babies) who otherwise couldn’t afford it to work on their art, make stuff, organize and mobilize with their peers, and maybe if need be crash for short periods. it’s honestly the big thing i want to do with my life, investing in our community and trying to give back to the people who’ve helped keep me afloat for the past couple years.

part of that project is going to be the creation of a library of gay and trans literature, queer history, gender theory and feminism, anticolonial theory, leftism, trauma and recovery, and hopefully some audiovisual stuff.

i just started making a list of books/texts i’d like to purchase (again, as a Long Term project)

or have access to as PDFs, and i set up a link to view the hypothetical roster. again, it’s far from complete, it’s just stuff i thought of off the top of my head in about half an hour this morning.

anyway, if this is something you’re interested in, please take a look at the list and message me here with any suggestions for articles, books, films etc that you think would be a good fit, or maybe even new categories. as i type this, i think i’d like a faith section as well. i’m hoping to see this whole project come to fruition within the next five to ten years, but this might actually be an actionable first step, so yeah. if you have anything to contribute, please let me know!
