Okay but can we talk about how Bare the Pop Opera never really says the word gay or anything. It’s all about two boys in love but the boys never truly say the words even when coming out. 

-Like Peter to his mom:

“It’s something that I’ve spent so long not saying 
Sometimes it’s on the tip on my tongue
But only spoken aloud, alone
While I’m praying”

-Or Jason talking to the Priest:

 “Well I’ve tried to be strong, I’ve tried to belong
But I don’t, or I won’t, I can’t, I can’t!
Such a simple, little word – never spoken, always heard
It’s not something I can be, it’s not ok, not for me
Do you know what I’m trying to-?
PRIEST: Yes”

Even in the ending plots it’s never said!

And the final lyrics of:

”No voice, no sound
No sound, no words
No words, no songs
No songs, no heart”

This musical will end my heart.
