Another sister, a beautiful black queen lost to senseless violence. Ms. Sasha Garden was actually trying to make a difference in the community when her life was cut short, if you have anything at all please please donate so that she can have a proper burial. The family of Sasha Garden, a transgender woman whose body was found at the back of an Orlando apartment complex last week, has set up a GoFundMeto pay for her funeral.
Garden’s mother, Sharon Daniels, created a fundraiser asking for $10,000 to pay for the cost of bringing Garden’s body home to Milwaukee, Wisconsin from Orlando and for any other burial costs.
Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies found the 27-year-old woman dead July 19 at the back of the Reserve at Lake Buchanan Apartments on Holden Avenue around 5 a.m. Investigators have described her death as a “homicide” and said her body had signs of trauma. OCSO has not identified any suspects so far.
Garden’s cousin, Yolanda Davis, remembered Garden as a beautiful person with an open heart.
“Sasha was just Sasha,” she said. “Her biggest thing was to provide for her family. She didn’t take shit. She was always a kind person. Everybody has their mean days – ain’t nobody perfect. But at the end of the day she was genuine. She didn’t sugarcoat it.”
LGBTQ advocates fear Garden’s death is connected to the murders of three other black transgender women who were killed within the past five months in Jacksonville.
Pt Two– Also, since you usually take Library Science as a Master’s course in the
US, I think he’d probably do a major in English Lit and minor
in…porbably a foreign language but possibly civics or counseling or
something, depending largely on how his little fe as a civilian
progressed and his ultimate goal. Like if he works with immigrant or
second-gen kids he’d probably study the most relevant language—probably
Spanish but possibly Mandarin too bc Gotham has a large Chinese
population.

Wow I love everything about this. Maybe Babs could be the one to hire him as her intern and they’d work together. I can totally see Jason working on events and programs for Gotham’s youth, particularly for low income households. Like he’d have some sort of reading class he’d teach every Wednesday at the library for free and he’d have the kids do group activities and art projects with whatever book they’re working on at that time.
I did decide on an English Lit major for Jason in this story, and I can see him focusing on a foreign lang. as a minor but the option of him continuing onto a Library Science degree is still there 😉 Thank you!
