I was going to reblog this with the caption “Me avoiding reality and responsibility” or something…
BUT THEN I SAW IT
IVE BEEN FLASHED
One of my animation teachers at school worked on shows like this, and said they used to sneak shit like into cartoons all the time. There’s apparently some UPA cartoon where the main character turns into a refrigerator for two frames out of animator boredom.
He said that once people started playing video games, their eyes got accustomed to seeing 60fps on television instead of 24fps, and they can’t do this stuff anymore.
One time I was playing the sims and I wanted to make me and mike but I wanted to make us separately and have us meet. But when I moved into my house, I had this sexy ass neighbor. I figured I could have a fling with him and break it off and get with Mike later but then the neighbors kid got attached to me and I couldn’t just end it when I was so close to his daughter. I really cared about him too.
So the only thing I could do was have it end in tragedy. That way I wouldn’t have to break up with the guy and I could adopt his daughter to stay close to her. He passed away peacefully on fire in the kitchen. Now in previous games, when a kid is taken away by CPS, the next kid you adopt is the same kid. Welp that didn’t carry over into sims 4 so the daughter ended up being taken away and erased from the game by the great sims deity.
I’m a sentimental man, so I kept neighbor mans tombstone around. I’d occasionally chat with his ghost, but he seemed cold to me. I can’t help but thinking he was a bit mad his daughter no longer existed. But this escalated once I started seeing Mike. His ethereal visits became more frequent and more hostile, usually breaking my electronics or creating a mess. But he went overboard when he started the fire.
Being a sim the died in a fire, his ghost had certain abilities specific to his death (setting fires). He got pissed because I kissed Mike so he set my couch on fire that ended up barricading us in the bedroom. Now I couldn’t find the fire alarm in buy mode and I hadn’t had the foresight to predict my spiteful ghost died-in-a-fire ex boyfriend would be an afterlife arsonist to care about it that much so a lot of the house had burned by the time I could get the FD there.
After having almost nothing covered by insurance (thanks Obama), Mike sat me down to have a talk with me. While I couldn’t understand him, I imagine he said “What the fuck you need to deal with your crazy ass ex boyfriend ghost. This never would have happened if you weren’t a thirst little sim bitch and dated me first.”
I approached the grave. It was time to release him. He was waiting for me. He knew this was the end. That after this, there was no coming back from the afterlife. I know he tried to kill me, and he knows I got his daughter deleted, but at that moment, it was just like old times. Telling each other jokes 27 times in a row until he would have sex with me.
We had a final ghostly embrace and he was gone. I sold his tombstone for 300 bucks and bought a microwave.
it’s literally gorgeous??? the music is absolutely wonderful and the choreography is out of this world!! not much to say because it’s a universal truth in life that this scene is amazing. it’s def on my bucket list. find a) sunsety hilltop with a great view of the city b) a yellow dress or a snazzy suit c) playful banter and tap dance a storm!
okay okay okay, unpopular opinion but i really liked the into the woods movie?? i just think that both The Baker and The Baker’s Wife were very well casted and that it takes two was just a wonderful scene inside of the movie. the song is peppy and fun and isn’t dominated by one singer and ahhh i just love it so much. it’s a fun tune and easy choreo can be integrated into it!
oh damn, if you follow my blog you KNOW how much i love falsettos. oof, go watch the proshot and you’ll see how absolutely heart breaking this scene is. what would i do is one of my all time favorite musical theatre songs and honestly, it’s my favorite of william finn’s. enough about me, but yes, this song is a beautiful song to share with your love. make sure to grab a ton of tissues.
let’s get some lin manuel-miranda into this!! i absolutely adore in the heights and sunrise is suuuuch a gorgeous song. it’s a sweet and powerful duet that takes two. it’s an extremely emotional piece that you can pour your everything into.
this was an amazing movie but this scene stood out particularly. the choreography was i n s a n e and the music wasn’t bad! pasek and paul went a bit pop for this soundtrack and it was totally amazing. it’s a bit hard to do the full choreo but still it’s a great song to sing with your forbidden love.
that pre-chorus ahhhh. a peppy and adorable duet that is totally feel-good. perhaps the happiest song on this list haha. it’s a relatively easy song, so just have a ton of fun with it! prance down the street in heels, hand in hand with your lover, and just let loose!
okay, so you can do dead girl walking but this one is nicer~ not much to say here. it’s a sweet song that two broken people can sing together. great for teenagers! maybe you two will have a better ending than our lovers here 😦
this dance is a classic. gene kelly is a choreography god. this dance is like the predecessor of lovely night and ahhh both are absolutely gorgeous. even though this isn’t much of a duet, it’s a great dance to recreate.
iconic you guys. iconic. just iconic. it’s a sexy, passionate scene that is vocally powerful and full of raw emotions. don’t be afraid to exchange touches while singing. there isn’t any fancy choreography. it’s just you and your partner, locked in a beautiful but forbidden romance.
a third pasek and paul?? what the hell are you doing kuma!? i can’t deny an amazing song, alright? it’s an emotional roller-coaster that deserves to be on this list! even if the fandom is slightly problematic, this song is gorgeous
a classic, you guys! a fresh, fun take of romeo and juliet with a song that is totally to die for. the maria part is realllly high but it’s fine shhhhhhh…anyway, tonight is a great song for those bernstien and sondheim fans that is vocally difficult but gratifying anyways.
there’s an actual love duet for these two in the show? huh? huh? no, I only know this one :’) as one-sided as this song is, the banter is just gold. it’s not much of a duet but shhhh. it’s a really fun scene to recreate on your balcony along with tonight.
perhaps one of the most iconic duets in musical theatre history. fun choreography, great tune, and playful banter!! andrew keenan-bolger and jay armstrong johnson did an a m a z i n g version of it! it’s one of the timeless classics. just make sure your partner isn’t a nazi and we all good
