Dick: You
know almost as much as I do, Alfred. He found me at the Haly Circus and said
Bruce needed me here. I couldn’t let a twelve year old kid wander around alone,
so I brought him with me.
Tim: I’m not twelve–I’m
thirteen. And I don’t want to cause trouble. Dick, please–I promise, once you
help Batman, I’m out of here.
Alfred: I
don’t know what game you’re playing, but we’re not enjoying it. If you
are here for a purpose, state your case. If not, give me your phone
number and I shall call your parents. You do have parents, don’t
you?
Tim: I do,
but they’re off visiting someplace or another on business. Dad’s always
traveling, and Mom goes with him.
Dick: And
you?
Tim: They
put me in a boarding school outside Gotham City, but this is a vacation
week.
